City Council adopted Resolution 1852 in 2008, which created a citizen’s task force to update Golden’s 2003 Bicycle Master Plan. During the summer of 2008, the Bicycle Task Force (BTF) met on a weekly basis to discuss how to make cycling a more viable and popular form of transportation in Golden for all age groups.

The end result is the report entitled “Bicycle Task Force Recommendations,” as well as the accompanying bike map that shows both current and future bike improvements. The BTF recommendations were presented and accepted by Council in September 2008, and form the basis of advancing Golden as a more bike friendly community.
